Lester Achiah Biography
Lester Achiah is a passionate basketball enthusiast with over a decade of experience both on and off the court, in Ghana and internationally. He is the founder of TUSK Foundation and TUSK Basketball Club, both based in Ghana, and is dedicated to youth empowerment through sports and education.
Lester has actively contributed to the growth of basketball in Ghana, having played and coached in the Greater Accra Basketball League Division 1 and 2. Notably, he served as the General Manager of the Adenta Leopards, guiding the team from a Division 2 championship victory to a Division 1 finalist position from 2012 to 2016 championship.
He currently divides his time between New Jersey (USA), Adenta (Ghana), and Qatar, continuing to mentor young athletes and promote grassroots basketball development, with a long-term vision of producing elite Ghanaian talent ready to compete on the global stage.

Founder – TUSK Foundation & TUSK Basketball Club (Ghana) Established to empower youth through basketball and education, providing training, mentorship, and life-skills development.
General Manager – Adenta Leopards Basketball Team Successfully led the club from Greater Accra Division 2 champions to Division 1 finalists in the 2016 championship, building one of the most competitive rosters in the league.
Player & Coach – Greater Accra Basketball League (Division 1 & 2) Gained deep insight into player development, team dynamics, and competitive strategies over more than a decade.
Participant – Basketball Without Borders, South Africa (2023) Selected to join the NBA/ FIBA Basketball Without Borders camp, engaging with global coaches and players while strengthening cross-cultural sporting ties.
Coach/Leader – Regional U16 Basketball Camps, Mali (2024) Led training sessions focused on skill development, teamwork, and basketball fundamentals for under-16 athletes at the regional level.
International Residency & Engagement Divides his time between New Jersey (USA), Adenta (Ghana), and Qatar, staying actively connected to basketball communities in each locale. This international presence enables him to link Ghanaian talent with global exposure and opportunities.
